Little business Part 2

Today it was our chance to be shopkeepers.

Our friends from Room 4 came in with their Aylett dollars ready to spend. There was a definite buzz in the classroom as the children were all busy selling and buying.

Little business Part 1

This term we have been learning about little business and money. 

In preparation for our mini market, we have been busy producing products to sell, earning 'coins' in our piggy banks and thinking about being a customer and a shopkeeper.

 Over the term, have made dream catchers, baubles, Christmas notebooks, little windmills, crowns and mirrors,  bird feeders and will be making cookies. 

We had the chance to use our piggy bank coins and go shopping in Room 4. The children were great customers, all using their manners, thinking about how much they could afford and buying wisely.

Corbans Art Centre

On Tuesday, we went to Corbans Art Centre with Room 4.
We created awesome pictures of undersea creatures using special paint pastels and black paper.
The pictures are hanging up in our room and they look fantastic :)

A big thanks to all our parent helpers and the lovely ladies at Corbans.

100 day celebrations

What a fantastic celebration we had at our 100 day of school. 😊

During the day, some of the things we were involved in:

* writing stories about what we would do with $100
* making 100 day smarter ties and hats
* watching special 100 day stories on the big screen
* dancing to GoNoodle
* having a shared morning tea and lunch
* making 100 day trail mix, by collecting 10 groups of 10 treats.

It was extra special celebrating with our Room 4 friends.
