Basketball coaching

We have been very lucky to have had Lawrence from the junior Breakers come in and take us for basketball. He has taught us how to dribble the ball, how to pass and catch the ball. This week he taught us a fun game of tiggy, where we had to chase our partner while dribbling the ball.
We are looking forward to more basketball with Lawrence next week 😎

When Clifford came to Jump Jam

It was an exciting morning at Jump Jam today. We were busy dancing, when along came Clifford and Geronimo Stilton!

They joined in our morning Jump Jam routines with us which was very exciting.

When we returned to class, we wrote stories about Clifford. The children did a great job, thinking about what they saw and how they felt. These are hanging on the wall so come in and have a look.

Dog safety

Last week, we had 3 very special visitors. The lovely Bark ladies came along with their dogs! We enjoyed seeing the dogs up on the stage and listening to the ladies. 

They talked to us about being safe around dogs, and the importance of asking our grown up,  the owner and the dog before patting them. We also played a game which helped us learn how to act if a dog approaches us. We had to stand still like a tree with our arms wrapped around ourselves. If we do this, we are too boring and the dogs wont chase us. If we fall down, we have to roll up in a ball and put our arms over our ears with our hands tucked away.
