We have new iPads!

The Year 1 classes and teachers are feeling very lucky. We have got new iPads 😃

Mr Gover bought them in last week for us to have a play. It was great exploring the different apps, from memory games to tracing and colouring to sight word games.

We will be using the iPads in our reading and maths programmes and we are all looking forward to trying out the new programmes.

Making graphs

In Maths we have been learning about how to make a graph and how to understand what the graph can tell us.

Over the last week we have made bar graphs and pictographs to show all kinds of things.

One of our graphs was to show  our favourite ice cream flavour. Each child coloured in their own ice cream and we worked together to create the graph.  Once all the ice creams were in place, we counted each line and figured out which flavour was the most popular, and least popular flavour in Room 3.

Welcome to Room 3

 We have had a great start to our year, it is great to see such happy children who are keen to participate in our classroom activities.

Our first week has been about settling in, making new friends and getting used to new routines and the new classroom.
